Grammar English Online

Erin Said:

Where can I find good English grammar lessons online?

We Answered:

Rosetta Stone has no grammar.
You can buy grammar books or try tell me more (http://www.tellmemore.com), they have grammar and have more advanced content (up to Business levels).

Joseph Said:

Does anyone have a suggestion of where to learn English grammar online? Online course or just a website.?

We Answered:

http://www.grammarbook.com/

I am an English teacher and I've gotten great ideas from this web site for my classes. It's clear and gives excellent examples and plenty of quizzes to practice. Beware, as there are MANY grammar web sites out there that have questionable content. Good luck!

Check for some local language schools, but don't think you will get it for nix.

Arnold Said:

How can I teach 7-year olds basic English grammar? Online links would be best.?

We Answered:

I'm a TESL graduate and we're taught that when students learn certain grammar, spelling, pronunciation rules, etc, they may try to implement them in everything they say. He's not making errors, he's exploring the language to learn which rules apply to what. It's called backsliding and it's not necessarily a bad thing. As long as he keeps hearing the people around him using the grammar correctly, he will figure out how it works on his own. It's very difficult to teach grammar to children because they do not understand what you're trying to teach them, they don't know the jargon that goes along with it, nor do they understand the rules, no matter how you explain it. They simply don't have the capacity at that age to grasp grammar concepts. The best way for him to learn it is to continue playing with the language as he is and to hear it said correctly around him.
