Gcse English Writing

Aaron Said:

Will I lose marks if i have messy writing in an English gcse writing exam?

We Answered:

In GCSE exams, they mark you for everything, Spelling, Handwriting, Grammar, detail, Layout, paragraphs included.ect. So make sure You ask a teacher for more information about What You Should Include. The handwriting needs to be neat and if it's not than it at least needs to be easy to read and your work has to make sense.

I hope this info helps You in your exam :-D

Jim Said:

how to im prove my handwriting in time for me to take for my gcse english writing exam?

We Answered:

I know it's stupid, but maybe get one of those kindergarten abc how to write books. The ones where you trace the letters and then write some on your own. It sounds really stupid, but it really does help when you want to clean up your handwriting. If not, maybe just practice writing random things out of books a bunch of times in the best handwriting you can muster. Practice is pretty much the onl way you'll improve in anything.

Marian Said:

What different types of voices is there? as im writing GCSE english coursework?

We Answered:

Hello there!!
First pay attention to the tenses in you English writing. { voices are there}

" I yearn to hear his voice when he speaks so softly about the scent of the blossoms in the local park."

When he is speaking about the latest thriller he saw on television though it is so harsh and not nearly do endearing. Other times when he gets excited his voice is shrill in a higher vein and that makes me shiver.
You home work done for you.

Vivian Said:

Does anyone have any GCSE English Original Writing coursework that they can lend me?

We Answered:

This is a massive NO.
GCSE coursework is supposed to be your OWN, not borrowed, downloaded or bought. If you havent done it, tough, you'll just need to explain to the teacher. Maybe instead of asking here, you could actually be doing it.

You might think that no one will find out, but I've known people who borrowed it off friends and got caught. The examinations boards have special methods (better than google) that can spot 3 words that are identical, let alone an entire piece. Please don't try to copy...you'll only get caught and end up sabotaging your own future - it'll go on your record for life.

Kevin Said:

Does hadwriting contribute to your mark in a gcse English writing exam?

We Answered:

No but think the examiner will mark loads of these and will be bored and you don't want them to have any reason to be in a bad mood when they mark it so although it shouldn't affect the grade i think it is worthwhile that you work on it also if it isn't legible you might not have been able tyo comunicate your idea and this might cost you marks x

Amber Said:

Any good tips to use for GCSE English Writing to Persuade?

We Answered:

Basically just use a variety of persuasive techniques such as alliteration, hyperbole, groups of 3, repition, variation of sentence length etc. A good combination of these will be effective. Remember not to go over the top on alliteration, as your writing might turn out to sound like a poem.
