I'm sorry, I can't really recommend a free method that is completely accurate. If you use sites like Babel fish, you may get something close, but your language instructor will know immediately that you used it. If you are going to go that route, I hope you know enough grammar, proper word usage, and sentence structure to correct the errors that the website feeds back to you. Chinese is NOT a word-for-word translation language.

You can always search for a good language learning forum and see if another user is kind enough to either help you out, or even translate it for you.

For my Mandarin needs, I have the program Wenlin, which is absolutely essential for learners at every level. Unfortunately though, you do have to pay for it, but if you're willing to give it a try, you'll find it's very much worth it.

What I would do to make this piece of writing get that last point to the 10 is watch your use of adjectives. Thesauruses are your best friend. Don't be afraid to add some description in there! All in all, it was some quality writing. Mad props!
