Why not get a local newspaper and see how they do it? You might even get a great idea of what to base it on if they have an advert section to say what really is happening.
If you're not in an English speaking country, a local paper in your own language will still be able to give you an idea.

1. Photo Prompt. Get some old black and white photos and let them inspire your writing for 10 minutes.
2. Free Write. Write constantly for 5 minutes. Whatever comes to mind, just write it. It's like a stream of consciousness.
3. Group Story. Have each person write three sentences, then pass the paper to a partner and they write three sentences, etc.
4. Rewrite a Classic. Pick a scene from Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, or any other literary work and rewrite it in a different environment or time period. For example, the balcony scene in 21st century New York.
