1. What is your view on the topic? Pick a side.

2. Write the beginning of your thesis, basically rewording the topic to cater to your opinion. Meaning (in short) put "Americans have a difficult time accepting the ideas and views of immigrant cultures because..." or "Americans do not have a difficult time accepting the ideas and views of immigrant cultures because...", but elaborate, otherwise you fail.

3. Figure out your points. Your professor actually picked a really fun time to assign this paper, because you could go crazy political with it if you wanted to. Your entire paper could be a political rant, and still address the issue. For instance, you could say that Americans do have a problem accepting the views of different cultures because of the reactions of George W. Bush to the 'War on Terror', or that we don't because of the wide acceptance of Barack Obama throughout the states. Have fun with this one, because it isn't often that you get assigned a paper this fun.

it totally works but i wouldn't describe it as strong. to make it stronger, try being more specific about which events lead to this theory. are there really events that place macbeth in this role or is it people or is it his hubris or a combo of all of these. events is just a little vague. once you get more specific, the details you use to define and prove your statement will be more concrete as well.
