Allan Said:

Can someone recommend me a good English grammar book?

We Answered:

English Grammar in Use (this is an intermediate level text)
Advanced Grammar in Use (this is obviously more advanced)

I like these books because when you open them up, there are clear, simple examples and explanations on the right side of the page, and good activities on the left side of the page. I don't feel that you need one with the CD, and even if you get an old edition you'll still learn a lot.

Brandy Said:

What is the best American English grammar book?

We Answered:

I use and recommend the Betty Azar Grammar series. There are three levels and come with workbooks. The newer editions have CDs and answers in the back. I've used these books for 20 years as an ESL teacher.

Vincent Said:

Can anyone recommend a GOOD English grammar book?

We Answered:

Try Barron's "Painless Grammar" or "Eats, Shoots & Leaves" by Lynne Truss.

Both books present English Grammar in an informative and interesting manner.
