To develop writing skill, you need to practice writing with the help of someone who can show you the common English writing patterns. Most folks need to have someone point out the elements of common English patterns for a paragraph before they can master reading or writing non-fiction.

English involves reading and understanding literature and grammar, where writing arts is learning how to write (ie, the skill) and write creatively. Humanities is a mixture of subjects, like history, literature, language, philosophy, and the arts.

As for what's most useful, I'd go with English. It'll be the subject used most often.

don't write the way that you speak because grammatically when we speak we invert the meaning of sentences and because we are physically there to gesture the meaning it makes sense...on the page however...it doesn't!!

make sure you use full words and make sure you don't condense it to text language as this again will be grammatically incorrect.

keep it simple...if the answer is there in the text use their words and if you have to make up your own answer....use stimulus from the text.
