Calvin Said:

For those whose first language isn't English, was learning the subjunctive easy?

We Answered:

No, it was difficult at first. Although Spanish, Italian, and French are related languages, each with the subjunctive verb tense, the rules for usage vary among all three. Native Spanish speakers do not have a problem with the subjunctive because they use it so often. (So a sentence will sound "funny" if the subjunctive is needed.)

Just remember that for Spanish speakers learning English, our language has some definite quirks. For example, a house can "burn up" as well as "burn down." When you want to rush a package across the country, you "ship by air." Then we have the word "read" which changes pronunciation but not spelling: "Did you read this book?" vs. "No, I haven't read it yet." The "gh" in "dough" is silent, but takes the "f" sound in "tough". We pronounce the "h" in "hotel", but it remains silent in "honor" even though both words came into English from French.

Hope this helps.

Gene Said:

how easy will it be learning turkish if I already know english and spanish?

We Answered:

The only commonalities between English and Turkish are borrowed words (or words that have been borrowed into both English and Turkish from a third language, like French). Apart from that, Indo-European languages (like English and Spanish) are completely unrelated.

So for instance, the Turkish word for bathroom is "tuvalet", which sounds something like the French "toilettes". The modern word for automobile is "otomobil", etc.

what is the easy method of English learning and speaking?

We Answered:

Watching Tv with subtitles in your language, if you use it as something parallel to your studies.

Anita Said:

Do you know an useful game for learning difficult English vocabularies? Is it easy to access and download?

We Answered:

you can go to freerice.com and play their game. it is a lot of fun, with levels designed to hone in on your word knowledge and improve it. at the same time, every word you get right donates 20 grains of rice to the hungry. this is made possible by the ads below the game. it is a completely free game, and you don't need to download it. I enjoy it a lot.

Kelly Said:

is learning english easy?

We Answered:

It depends on what language you already know, but the general answer is no. English is a language that grew from many different roots, so it's rules are far less inclusive than those in other languages.
