Write A Resume

Gail Said:

How would you write a resume if all work experience is military?

We Answered:

He needs to write about his expereince, any projects he was in charge of (and their success rates), talk about his managment experience (# of people that reported to him) , What classes did he take that continued his education either with college or during his time in the service. What his goals are. Making it nice and full may only hide the good stuff. So one page is good enough if that is all he can fill. He will want to do a job search and pick out all of the "key" words and work them into his resume. For example:
Special Security
Sniper trained
Black belt in Karate
Management background

things like that......go on line and find some good examples. But the "key" words are what will get his resume pulled in with on line submittals.

How can a nonexperienced person write a resume?

We Answered:

find a template. if you have Microsoft Works or Microsoft Office installed on your computer, sometimes they have premade templates and all you would have to do is fill in your information. If you don't have that, then go to google and seach "how to make a resume" or something similar.

How do you write a resume for a 16year old?

We Answered:

Google websites that help you with format. There are several ways to format a resume - it depends on what kind of job you are applying for.

As for what goes in it. Put things you are involved in - school activities, volunteer work, any jobs you may have had. If you have any certifications (CPR, first aid etc.) those are good things to mention

A letter of intent is your way of introducing yourself - talk about your strengths and why you should be considered for the job.

Remember to have someone look it over - if your school has a business teacher - that would be a good person to ask.

Good Luck.

How do you write a resume for a 15 year old with no work experience?

We Answered:

You really don't, but what you do is give a snapshot of things you have done in school, extra curricular activities that help the community, etc., and apply. No one expects you to come to work at 15 with loads of experience.
