What type of software are you using to write your resume? If it's Microsoft Word, it has templates built in and if you don't see the one you need, it provides the ability to go straight to Microsoft's website to download what you need.

Word 2007 click the round office button, click new, then scroll down to resumes.

You don't say the type of work you wish to direct your application letter and resume to.

This what I suggest you do.
Go to Google and in the search box write this-
Creative Job Search - Minnesota.

This will take you to the Creative Job Site and I promise, you will find everything you need to know about writing a Job Application and building a resume. They also provide sample and blank forms.

I suggest you print out a copy of a sample application letter and the same for a resume. Do the same with blank forms and practice what you want to write on a copybook and then transfer same information to your letter and resume.

I know this involves some work and also some research in the Creative Job Search information. The only alternative is to get some professional to do the work for you and that can be very expensive.

Visit your local library and you will find plenty of books on the subject of Job applications - one good one is, "What Color is Your Parachute?" by Richard N Bolles.

Books too about how to write a resume or a guide to resume writing.
