Leroy Said:

Is a CPRW (Certified Professional Resume Writer) better than other Resume Writers?

We Answered:

Not at all! There are many writers and résumé writing firms promote that they are staffed by certified résumé writers (CPRW).

This certification can be and is purchased online and allows companies to use the CPRW logo or seal to build credibility. In truth, this seal can simply be purchased without much hassle and it is only the opinion of the company handling the certification.

To find a good resume writer, look for companies that have been in business for a while. Do they have expertise in resume writing, hiring, recruiting, actual human resources?

Do you want just a “writer” making your resume or an actual HR Professional telling you what HR professional look for!? The résumé writing process always begins with asking the right questions. So in conclusion, this designation means nothing more than someone paid money to be called a CPRW. AND I AM A 20 YEAR EXPERIENCED CORPORATE HR PROFESSIONAL WITH A SPHR DESIGNATION.

Chad Said:

How to be a professional resume writer, is there a certification course to take for such a job?

We Answered:

Yes. There is are professional certification courses. This is one of them: http://www.parw.com/home.html Type resume writing certification in Google.com you will find a list of others.

However, it is a highly non regulated area. A certification will increase your credibility but it is not a requirement at this time.

Best wishes.
