Resume Or Cv

Natalie Said:

Is it acceptable nowadays to send your resume and CV over email to a prospective employer?

We Answered:

Yes, everyone emails resumes

Rita Said:

If a job posting requests a CV is a resume sufficient?

We Answered:

If they request one, submit one (otherwise it appears as if you are ignoring/unable to follow directions)- in your case, keep it simple but stress your status in the Master's program and what research you have done in the past that could relate to what they are looking for.

Vanessa Said:

What is the difference between a resume and a CV?

We Answered:

CV is Latin for curriculum vitae, which means "course of life".

I added a link to a blog post titled "CV vs. Resume: What's the Difference?". I think it would be very helpful to you.

Have a great day!

Steve Said:

Which is more effective CV or Resume for an interviewer to understand/judge candidate?

We Answered:

hey, i'm not sure about all parts of the world, but as i have come to understand it in the US and Canada, for the most part, CV & Resume are quite often used interchangeably. i know CV is understood internationally and used as such, Resume is more informal.
not sure if that helps..lol.

Wesley Said:

What should an aspiring actor's biog (not CV or resume) contain?

We Answered:

No misspellings. I'm guessing you meant "BLOG" not BIOG"? A blog should contain stuff that happened in your life, be VERY entertaining (who would want to read endless lines of boring crap like boring dates, crushes, etc?), and make the reader long for more. If it's entertaining, they might think YOU are entertaining as well. Also post pictures of yourself, as well as plays or tv bit parts you got, etc.
