Make A Cover Letter
Megan Said:
Will my cover letter make my resume too long?We Answered:
The purpose of a cover letter is to let them know why they got your resume or CV. It states the job you're applying for, gives some particulars that the resume isn't meant to handle, etc. You could give the date you'd be open to employment by the company you're sending the resume to, even something like "upon two weeks notice" or give a specific date. You could also point out your interest in their company. Things like that. The cover letter needs to be short, no more than a single page. If you're sending the resume blind, without them posting a job opening, you need to state the reason in the cover letter. Some companies don't actually read resumes. They scan them into a word processor and when they want to hire they search for the traits they want.

How to make cover letter for Clerical/Office postions? We Answered:
First of all you must eliminate the typos - that's a no, no.Let's say:
18 May 2007
Company name xyz
Attn: try to get a name by calling first etc..if not skip this line.
Address 123 Main Street
The Town or City, the abbreviation of the state in capital letters (for example: New York, NY) and the zip code.
Dear Mr. or Ms. above named person
or
To whom it may concern:
My name is John Smith and I recently graduated from such a college with such a degree. I am very interested in working for (name of company) as a Cerk. I welcome the opportunity to enter the work force at your company. I am certain it will be a mutually rewarding experience.
Please take a moment to review my resume. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me.
Sincerely,
so and so
so and so 's address
city and state and zip code

Email:
Write a one page resume which will have as a heading your name in bold letters, address, city and state, tel, and email. You want write in capital bold letters "EXPERIENCE" and think about the times that you have used some of the skills required for the position, another would be EDUCATION, AWARDS, at the end just write the sentence: References furnished upon request. Bottom line, in the resume you want to make yourself look good - like that you are capable of doing the job that you are applying for. Sell your self. Be confident and don't let them see you sweat.

how do I make a cover letter for a resume? We Answered:
I looked on my microsoft word 'resume' templates, all of them as a matter of fact, and none had a 'cover letter'.If the job you are applying for does not require one, then skip it. If it does, then just briefly tell them in a small paragraph, about your experiences, and why you would be an asset to their company.
Here is how I would start:
RESUME COVER LETTER (centered in middle of page)
YOUR NAME
ADDRESS
To Whom it may concern:
I am writing you this cover letter to briefly explain as to how I believe I would be a great asset to your company.
I have experiences in various customer service; dealing with a diverse community, in which I believe will help me achieve great public relations with your company's prospective customers. My enthusiastic personality, of wanting to always acheive my best at what I do, will also contribute to your company, and allow your company to help me acquire new skills that may help me in the future.
Thank you for your time and consideration of my application.
Sincerely,
YOUR NAME
Hope this helps ya!

Does submitting a cover letter make a big difference? We Answered:
it makes a huge difference. employers get fludded with resumes... ive found that if you include a cover letter with a little blurb about why you would be good for the job or relevant experience.. it will tempt them to open ur resume and give it a better read
