this is a tough situation for you... you KNOW you can do the job they want, but you have no tangible references.

step1: figure out what you would say to them face to face to convince them that you are what they want!

step2: put that in resume form (extra curriculars, awards, list raising kids in your job list, etc... whatever it takes). if you can't figure out how to get it down in a nicely formatted resume - put it in the cover letter!

step3: organize the resume so that the answers to any criticisms they may have are placed at the top - where they'll read it first, and that will tear any defenses down so they can read the rest of your credentials unbiased.

This will work much better in the USA than yours. I do not know about India, however. But, I suggest that you use it.
