Maurice Said:

how to write a good resume??

We Answered:

go to yahoo search and type in "sample resumes" or show examples of college entry resumes, or resumes for college entry.

I hope this helps you out some..or pay to have it professionally done, then make laser jet copies, so that it looks like the original resume...

hope you get into this college..think positive.

Ralph Said:

Is there anyone or any website can help me to write an excellent resume for free?

We Answered:

You are an HR graduate and they never went over how to write a resume? I'd say go back to your professor and ask him/her.
In HR management, you are going to be doing at least initial review of resumes and applications from people wanting to work for the company you work for. How are you going to be able to determine their qualifications if you don't even understand your own?
As an HR person, get outside yourself and think about what you would be looking for in a person applying for the job you want.
You spent all that money on college to get your certificate or degree or whatever, so why are you now asking how to write a resume?
I'll write one for you, absolutely for free.

How to write your first resume - without previous job experience?

We Answered:

There are many places online that show you the best Format for writing a resume.
Instead of listing your work experience, list your achievements with school and your clubs.
Also include a cover note saying all though you have not got any work experience you are very eager to start work and learn new skills etc.
It can't help to also have a reference from a teacher as well.
Good luck

Writing a Resume, been on current job for 20 years, how should I write the Resume?

We Answered:

Three things:

* Write a Summary rather than an Objective, and keep the Summary focused on what you can do for them rather on what they can do for you. For instance: "Experienced and skilled warehouse operations specialist who can keep products moving and get them to the right destinations on time ..." Something like that, I suppose.
* Focus on "accomplishments" rather than mere duties. How did you make a difference for previous employers that a future employer might say. "This person is the type of person we need around here!"
* Never put "References Available Upon Request" in your resume. It's passe, and you know they'll ask for references anyway. List them and their contact information on a separate sheet of paper that you bring to the interview.

Help with resume suggestions?

We Answered:

All that stuff: "excellent analytical skills", "able to work under pressure", "excellent rapport with people from diverse backgrounds", and so on, just sounds like empty boasting to jaded recruiters. What you might consider doing is having some appendices which illustrate those skills with real examples. Ideally each example would (a) outline a problem that you encountered, (b) detail what decisions and action you took to deal with the problem, and (c) describe the result.

So instead of "Excellent analytical skills", your resume now says "Excellent analytical skills [see practical example in Appendix 1]".

Discuss It!
