Well, considering you're a freshman it's not a huge rush, but your resume is just like an organized list of your accomplishments. They have templates for resumes on Microsoft Word, and if those don't work then there are probably millions of them in various places on the internet.
The resume is just about being able to see all of the thing you've accomplished when you apply to college. As for the volunteering, you can bring them a paper in order to verify that you've volunteered there, and attatch it to your resume.

Tip- resumes are generally always 1 page or less, incluse school name, your name, address, phone #, GPA, activities, hobbies, achievements, and 3 references. Go from there.

Sometimes it's useful to write to various companies and say a bit about yourself and that you would be interested in working for them. They may reply or not. They may suggest training or appretership, send you an application form or ask you for a cv.

There are web sites which show how to write a cv and you can look for different companies on the webb as well to get their addresses.
