APPLYING TO A PET STORE?We Answered:
I no longer include an objective statement. They know why I am applying, I make it very clear. I stopped using them because I am not good at writing them. They need to be vague but still very specific. You might try something like "Seeking a position working closely with people where I can utilize my knowledge of and experience with animals"I would take the job description of the position you're applying for and look at all the things you did in your previous experience. You want to highlight any of the things that overlap and exclude everything else (unless it could benefit the position).
ie: For a cashier they will probably mention cash handling, detail oriented, multi tasking, and customer service skills.
So, you will want to show you're responsible, ethical, effective at communicating, effective at listening, you can solve problems creatively, you can multi task, and you can deal with conflict and pressure.
I don't know what achievements you have from either experience, but a good start is to make a list of all the things you did (I always save this list for when I write a new resume). Include anything that highlights your experiences with what they are looking for, exclude everything else. Anything you can quantify (put a number/percentage with) should be included in MOST situations as long as it is provable (if they called and asked your previous 'supervisor' would say yes that is true). ie: "Helped an average of 15 shelter visitors per day"
For the human society you might include dealing with conflict and pressure, making difficult choices, and the interactions with animals and "customers." You can also highlight any public "educating" you did and about build professional community relationships and rapport. (As far as I know, Petsmart likes educating their customers about products and services so showing you can comfortably talk to strangers about whatever is good).
For babysitting you can easily show effective communication and listening as well as responsibility, diligence, the ability to handle multiple tasks in high pressure situations.
I would list the volunteer work as "Professional Experience" and the babysitting as "Other Experience"
Good luck! Once you get started and make some lists its much easier to connect the dots.

Want to have a couple drinks tonight, best way to keep my milk?We Answered:
Alcohol leaves your system at about the same rate it leaves your bloodstream ... roughly one drink per hour.Pump right before you leave the house.
If you only have 2 drinks, you should be fine to nurse within 2 hours.

How should I present my resume to a retail store? We Answered:
No protector necessary. Just staple the resume to in back of the application.Your tactic may or may not work. Some hiring managers may be annoyed that you're fussin' with their stack and can't follow directions. Others may find it professional.
