Jack Said:

I want to add a little moving image to my CV, how do I do this?

We Answered:

With the best will in the world, its a nice idea but if you don't know how to do it yourself then you shouldn't do it.

The only potential employers it would impress are ones who are looking for a certain level of computing expertise - and they would find out very quickly wether or not you were actually capable of what your CV implied. Any other employers will either ignore it or be put off by it when it looks weird printed onto a static sheet of paper.

How do you feel about a video referral service and an Interactive CV?

We Answered:

Not viable. It'll never work, it'll never happen. Nobody wants it. Bad idea. But I don't want to discourage you. you should follow your dream, and i mean that.

I'm applying 4 jobs online but don't have word to attach my cv?

We Answered:

Assuming you are on windows, you should be able to use word pad - which will do the job fine.

Go to Start > Run > and type "wordpad" in

If not, and if you are a bit more adventurous http://www.openoffice.org will work fine.

Do not use paint or scan it in! If its any job worth having, they will not employ you with that!

CV Objective for multiple job positions?

We Answered:

The aim of a CV is to get you a job interview...

I would always optimise the CV for the job that you are applying for so that the person that reads it thinks, 'this person looks to have the right skill / experience, i want to know more'.

However, don't add anything on there that won't hold up under interview questioning !

Discuss It!
