Here is a format I find informative. If you use a cover letter, tell me why you are interested in my job and why I should be interested in you. If you do not use a cover letter, add a section after the personal information: Career Objectives: In that give me one or 2 lines where you plan to go in your career.

Personal Information. In this section put your name and contact Information.

The next section would be either education or work experience, whichever is stronger for you. I will assume education.

Education: List your most recent school first.

Then list the next school back, probably high school.
