Format Of Resume

Dolores Said:

Anyone know a good Resume Format for wanting to be a Teacher?

We Answered:

I created my own. I got so sick of messing with different templates. I wasted hours in Microsoft Word trying to get it just so with the templates. It is so frustrating when you can't get it just the way you want it.

What is the "best" resume format when one significant technical experience but no college degree?

We Answered:

I appreciate your predicament.

There was a chinese general who said " In a war, you should learn to turn your disadvantage into an advantage."

I can give u some advice, based on my experience, its yours to judge.

1. Keep Resume crisp, nobody likes a long resume.
2. Stress on the fact that though you lack formal education, you utilised that time learning on the shop floor.
3. Highlight all innovations u have done.
4. For applying, keep awy from govt jobs and large corporations, who will not be bend rules they have set as entry filters.
Go for small businesses , maybe propreitorship firms, where its been built by a single person, who will always value your worth.
5. Give a few references with phone numbers. Maybe attach a reco letter from past employers.

All the best. Don't forget to treat me to a beer once you have got the job.
