Ethel Said:

What do I put in "Objective" section in a resume for a University?

We Answered:

Are you applying to be a student, or applying for a job?

Resumes are tailored, by you, to your specific need. An "objective" is often used when applying for a job, and if you're using a template on your computer, it's probably on there because so many people use it.

If you're applying to be a student:
I don't think you need an "objective". I think they just want to see your experience. If you really want an "objective," then put the degree you want to get, or your educational goals.

If you're applying for a job:
"Entry level positions" are job positions and would be appropriate if you were applying for employment, but not appropriate if you're applying to be a student. If you're looking for a job, your sentence is OK, but a bit wordy. Do you want computer technology, or the AREA of computer technology? Also, "obtain" isn't quite right to me, but I can't think of something to replace it with. I'd just leave it out and stay concise-
Objective: an entry level position in computer technology.
