Examples Of A Good Resume

Manuel Said:

how to make a good resume?

We Answered:

There are a ton of sites for resume writing help that cost very little.
You could also ask a friend who has a good resume to help you work one up. At a minimum, you should list employers appropriate to the position you're applying for and in the description of the job explain what you brought to the company rather than 'duties'.
You should list these last job held first and then descending order.
Good stationery is a must as it makes it look like you care about the appearance of your resume. Also, don't use fancy font, just standard is fine. A sincere cover letter, not a generic 'I like this job' cover letter is more interesting......definitely check out some of the online sites and good luck to you.

Carole Said:

Anyone Know a site where they have examples of good resumes?

We Answered:

I used this resume writing service in my area, this is the email address, (resume.help50@yahoo.com) you should try them, it only cost me $35.00 and I got a great job from this new resume, I never thought about the format that they use but the turn around time was less then 24 hrs. I would have to say it was the best service I have ever used and it was worth every dime. Also they let me pay through paypal.

While some still prefer B&W headshots, the truth is that the industry preferences are changing, especially thanks to Reality (unscripted) TV. More and more, casting directors are looking to full color, natural lighting. When they say they want you to look like your photo, THEY REALLY MEAN IT. Also, B&W tends to "date" your photo - making it seem out of date - just because the preferences are leaning so much towards color now.

I know some people will disagree with me, but L.A. has been color for years now, and NY is leaning in the same direction.

Discuss It!
