What you need is to team up with a web host that will allow you to design your own website around your interests using their skills and knowledge. Most web hosts will incorporate pay pal into your site. I would suggest that you take a look at several hosting options prior to commitment. There are a few good ones. Keep your expectations in mind. What kind of appearance (design) do you want your site to have? What kind of features do you expect to have? How will you drive targeted traffic to your site? And so on......

A guy who worked in recruitment for a long time has just set up a blog for this sort of thing. Log on to it, follow it and he will regularly update you with top tips. Also, he has a good guide to CV writing on there. It's quite new though so not a lot is on there, just click follow and you should be able to ask him a question directly. He's very approachable and knows ALOT so it's worth doing- hope all works out for you.

Think strengths as big strengths you have i.e. hard working, direct, honest, integrity, initiative, decisive really powerful words like that and then for the weaknesses say things which are not too good but are not big weaknesses which would stop you getting a job. E.g. I sometimes try to do to many things at once, I have a mess desk, i'm sometimes too much of a perfectionist which means i don't move onto other jobs as quick things like that just make sure your weaknesses don't counteract your strenghs or something you named as a strengh is also something you've named as a weakness that you don't do well.

Make the strenghts relating to skills the job is looking for and make the weaknesses things which even if you have it doesn't mean it would stop the employer giving you the job.

But trying to give you information with value to guide you to a solution which suits you, most CV Writing Services will provide a free CV Review. Use this, and allow them to evaluate their services, while you evaluate them. They should give you written feedback at minimum, some give verbal feedback via the phone. Their review should include positive and negative points, and a fixed price to give you a new CV.

Once you get your quote, ask to speak to the named CV Writer you would deal with for your service. Ask for examples and look for recommendations, and ask about their background. Some CV Writing is provided via pools of self-employed people who are just allocated work as is, a good one will provide a dedicated name and have some recruitment or HR experience. On average, the writer gets between 50% and 75% of the fee charged. Hence personally, I don't know how those who provide a service below £25 can do so with anything more skilled than a typist filling out a standard Microsoft CV Layout. I see those regularly in my day job as a recruiter, and they just get rejected.

Do they provide any form of money back guarantee, and do they provide services beyond a CV? In an experiment last year, JobCentre+ took a control group and gave half a new CV, and half a set of job search tactics. Each group did equally as well at getting employed in similar time scales. Giving both a new CV and the tactics to another control group, they got employed in half the time.
