Customer Service Resume

Naomi Said:

can someone help me with a sample customer service resume?

We Answered:

Hi! Here's some tricks for resume writing. Check out the Microsoft office template directory to get over your writer's block -http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT101449251033.aspx

This will help you choose a format, get you started with the basic formatting.

Then, go to job sites like indeed.com or monster.com or jobster.com or whereever and look up the jobs you want - keep a scratch pad of the skills hiring managers are looking for that you posess. Its good to get their lingo down for use in your resume.

You can also do this to fill in information for your past positions. Look up the title of your last positions in the job sites to see how hiring managers describe those positions and use the applicable parts to create your job descriptions.

Good luck!

Sales/customer service resume help?

We Answered:

I would put each achievement in a seperate bullet point. I recruit for sales agents and I always like to see what a person has done in his or her last position. One of the ways I like to write resumes is to sit down and say what did I do in my last position. For example, you want to state that you have conducted phone based sales. The next bullet point could be that you closed sales at x percent. Also state that you met quota and any other information that would be important for a position. It is great that you have almost a year and a half experience. Do not forget to do the same thing with your previous position as well. You never know what a recruiter will be looking for. Another tip for you is to customize your resume and/or cover letter. Make sure you list skills that are relevant to the position to which you are applying. Finally, a little networking goes a long way. Join sites such as LinkedIn and join groups from your schools or your old jobs. You never know who can help you land your next position. Good luck!

What sounds better on resume, Customer Service Representative or Sales Representative?

We Answered:

You need to put down the title that best describes your current job. A sales representative would develop new customers as well as working with existing customers. A customer service representative would work only with existing customers. Being a sales representative would probably be more difficult.

Does anyone have any helpful advice for writing a job objective for a Customer Service Rep on a resume?

We Answered:

The whole resume needs a look in.

*Be clear and concise
*Use the SAME formatting throughout the whole resume
*Include a summary of your work responsibilities under your Employment section
*Don't use negative words about yourself
*Include at least 3 relevant refereees

Don't use "me", but DO use "I" - I did..., I have, I am, etc - it's GOOD.

What do you write in a resume for customer service?

We Answered:

I used this resume writing service in my area, this is the email address, (resume.help50@yahoo.com) you should try them, it only cost me $35.00 and I got a great job from this new resume, I never thought about the format that they use but the turn around time was less then 24 hrs. I would have to say it was the best service I have ever used and it was worth every dime. Also they let me pay through paypal.

Willie Said:

What to put for objective on resume for an administrative assistant/customer service rep.?

We Answered:

The first two answers are ok but this kind of resume objective is dull and tells the employer nothing about you.

The third answer is better.

Here is some resume objective help but also 5 resume objective examples.

They show you how to sell yourself in your resume objective which I think is a great opportunity.

Good luck!
