It's "acceptable" (not "exceptable"). But probably not advisable unless your appearance is important to the position (model, news anchor, etc.).

However, your willingness to think outside the box and be different is good. You want your resume to stand out.

Whatever you do, don't use one of the standardized resume templates. I read lots of resumes, and I get so tired of looking at the same format over, and over, and over again.

Create your own format. If you don't have a basic word program, or you're graphically challenged, get some help in layout. Keep it simple, in simplicity is elegance. Make it easy to look at. Uncluttered.

And keep thinking outside the box, but still be ready to ask questions.

hi since your only 16 your resume will probably be very short or blank since you don't have much of a work history. a resume is basicly your educational history and your work history layed out in a professional looking manner.

yahoo hot jobs has alot of articles on what a resume is and how to write one thats a good place to start. yahoo hot jobs also has a resume creator that you can use as a general guide as to what a resume should be like.

monster.com is another source like hotjobs that has a resume creator and articles to help write a resume.

about.com has even more articles and such on resumes and cover letters.
