What are the best websites and best set ups for resumes?We Answered:
Besides setting all margins to 1", the most important criteria for setting up a professional resume besides relevant text, is "scanability." Here are some helpful tips:1. Place just below your identification header [your hame, address, phone, email address] any Conditional Warning Statement such as "Confidential Resume,"Do Not Contact Current Employer," etc.
2. Always fill-in an Objectives category [just below the Conditional Warning Statement] and make sure that he Objective will contribute to the profitability of your future employer;
3. Select a mono-type font such as Helvetica, Arial, Courier or Times Roman; do not select any cursive handwriting styles which cannot scanned;
4. Keep font sizes within a range of 10 to 12 pts.;
5. Avoid styling text with a justified alignment, keep it flushed left;
6. Instead of using tabs to set up blocked text entries, generate a table and use the column and row settings accordingly;
7. Do not place an i.d. picture anywhere on the resume, this is a major taboo due to discrimination issues;
8. Do not place any graphic text [saved as .gifs] onto the resume since it may be overlooked during the scanning phase;
9. List at the very end of the resume your interests which should include travel experiences, language skills, social interactions such as golf, team sports, tennis, etc.
In conclusion, the above helpful hints were designed to allow ease of scanning of your resume into PDF which can then be text captured for seach purposes by your potential employer. If the original resume was created in Word, WordPerfect or Mac Appleworks, it can be Saved As a PDF file which then can be saved as an email attachment. Otherwise, you can simply use a scanner and scan a hard copy of the resume and then save as a PDF file.
Failure to conform the resume to appropriate fonts and styles as outlined above will result in rejection of the resume simply due to the inability of the scanning device to properly index relevant resume entries.
Good luck!

What's the best way to do a graphic design resume?We Answered:
depends on if you have experience as a graphic designer or not. if recentlly out of school there is not much one can include except class submitted work and/or work you've done on your own. that's great if you have a working portfolio even if a small one and you can always ask if they'd like to see it in addition to a traditional resume. if you've been working as a graphic arts professional already then you should pick the best of the best and do just as you said - include in pdf towards end of resume - assuming you're submitting it online.obviously whatever you turn in should have some original creative thought behind it, especially due to the industry.
but do not try and over do it b/c it's always best to say more with less and a graphic design position will be more about what you can do software/creative/initiative wise than what one has done in the past.
also depends on if one wants to work in an agency setting, or in a production setting (not very creative sometimes) or in house for a company that will rely on you to do more than just graphic design work.
good luck and feel free to shoot me a copy of it.

What's an example of the best college I can get into with this resume?We Answered:
You'd be surprised by how much can change by the time you're a senior, there is really no telling what can happen. When I was a sophomore in high school, I had a 4.0 GPA with 3 honors classes, AP Bio, honors orchestra, tennis team, colorguard, newspaper, and some other junk under my belt. Wait until you get a taste of full blown AP courses your junior year combined with nonstop SAT/AP/ACT prep. That's the real challenge that you need to get over.Ana Said:
Whats best to include in a resume for a real estate agent?We Answered:
Whoa! STOP! All you have to do is apply to the state for a license and they will be chasing you down. You won't need a resume. You, interview them. Look for a company that offers you the right environment. If you are new, ask about training! Ask about how fast the startup is. If you already have access to the MLS check them out and if they tell you their numbers are spectacular prove it out. Search, solds by office id and prove it out. Figure out who their top producers are and ask to talk to them by name. Ask the newest person, how long it took to get a phone line, e-mail address, web page? Check out their average sales price that's where the leads are coming from! Checkout the Days on market-does their training work? do they have a strong lender that can close your leads in a timely fashion? How does their days on market compare to everyone elses? What is their lowest list price? Highest list price? what kind of listings do they take? Are they doing more listings or sales (buyers) which do you like to work. Will you be happy and successful here?I just went through this again and one company thought 3 weeks was a good time frame. I went with the one that had everything done in less than 24 hours- RE/MAX rocks! Good Luck!
p.s. If you are stepping out of the business talk about number of units sold, gross volume, marketing skills, profit increases. TAlk about how you compare to others from a length of time in the business to their volume etc. Maybe you closed 3 million in one year and 4.5 the next that shows that you know how to improve your business. See? Good luck with either

What is the best way to list dual employment on a resume?We Answered:
I do suggest you write more than one resume, targeting any one to any job position you are applying for. In this case, my suggestion is to list all past jobs you have had, but always highlighting at any one the mains duties, skills and achievements you have had that are directly related to the job position requirement you are looking for.Note that:
1) The more closely you can target your resume to the employer's needs, the better your results will be. Read more at: http://www.easyjob.net/resume/targeted-r…
2) A functional resume format can be better for you in this situation: http://www.easyjob.net/resume/resume-sty…
3) Employers are more concerned about your skills and abilities, rather than your actual job title or the particular fields you've worked in. A strong resume must pull together your experience from other fields and show an employer how that experience relates to his or her needs using a good selection of functional and transferable skills you have from past work experience. http://www.easyjob.net/resume/resume-ski…
4) Choose “achievements oriented” resumes format to make your resume stand out. Read more at: http://www.easyjob.net/resume/career-cha…
Good luck!

What is an example of the best objectives on a resume?? I need examples please!!!?We Answered:
If possible, always tailor you objective statement to the job you are applying for. Example "A demanding position as a Restaurant Manager leading to additional responsibilities." Use demanding as it implies hardworking, and additional responsibilities as it implies you want to stay and grow with the company. Robin is wrong, cover letters are to better introduce yourself and to expand on the resume, especially if there are any gaps in your work history.
