On my CV I have not mentioned any gaps and just included what I have done, you have to bare in mind your CV should be no more than 2 pages long.I have right at the top a short description of my attribute's then: Personal Details, Education, Training, Work Experience and Interests.
Remember you do not want to bore employers with far too much information. Maybe mention it on your CV header note or under as work experience.

How to send examples of your work?We Answered:
Id get some of your raw designs from software like ProDesktop (or the equivalent that you're using).Then get you CV that you will have typed up on MS Word, or such. (include name, address, tel number, qualifications, what programmes you have had experience with, awards, achievements, why you like web and graphic designing and why you want this job).
Then put the work and the CV in a zip file and send it to them in and e-mail.
