Sorry if these don't help. I wish to you the best of luck. It seems so many ask questions in "homework help" but so few get answered.
My personal view of theses: Make sure your reader knows exactly what you're talking about; make the thesis very clear. Stay away from lists (i.e. this is good for this reason and this reason and this reason and this reason.... no!) and a "hook" is very important to grab the readers attention, unless you don't care if your professor drools on it. The first sentence may throw the reader totally off, which makes it interesting, but always remember to state your thesis very clearly thereafter. Best of luck!

Exactly, narrative format just means that you tell the story to whoever is reading. Write the essay like your teacher hasn't read the book and be very descriptive.
