Difficult to know what you are actually tallking about. But we talk abiut buildings having life cycles - you build it use it - eventuially it goes out of date, materials need replacing, services fail - everything normally has a predicatable life span - you are looking at the whole thig - even the cost of demolition at the end and the amount of recycling you could do.

No. An introduction is supposed to introduce the topic to be discussed, and isn't meant to be a references' section. Imagine introducting somebody to your friend. Would it make more sense to say?: "This is Fred" or "This is Fredrick, son of Mr and Mrs Suchandsuch of Somewhereorother who, in turn were parented by Mr and Mrs... (on the paternal side) and Mr and Mrs... (on the maternal side) who, in turn and as far as can be reconstructed... a predominantly Irish family but with some Iranian input from a great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother (or so it likely seems, but Armenian can't be entirely ruled out)...

The second alternative, packed with delightful references, isn't an introduction.

Give the date and time observed, the basic demographics of the class, the lesson plans prepared for that day and how successfully they were delivered. What objectives or goals were met? What state standards were being approached? What extraordinary things happened that would not normally happen in a normal school day if any, and the general teacher, student relationship and work atmosphere.
