You certainly need to simplify it. You ramble. You need to be direct. Maybe something like: It has come to my attention that my reports are less than satisfactory and I would really appreciate some constructive criticism to correct the problem. I am more then willing to do what ever needs to be done to improve.You need to not make excuses even if they are legitimate and don't complain about the other person being sent to pressure you. I know it sounds harsh but the impression you give off is a complainer and unwilling to work with others.
You can leave your superiors with that image or one of someone who is proactive about their job that will do what needs to be done.
