Writing A Lab Report

Phyllis Said:

What can be some possible sources of error when writing a lab report about enzyme activity?

We Answered:

well sources of error depends on what you used to do the experiment.

i mean for measuing concentration you mayb used photometer and read the abs from that. and if you didnt get a reasonable result so it can be that didnt use the photometer as it has to be use. maybe the light in the photometer didnt gross the glass with the enzyme or maybe when reading the result you made some mistakes.

a sources of errors always depends on your experiment and the matrial you use.

i hope it helps you

Jamie Said:

when your writing a lab report how long is the purpose?

We Answered:

Normally the purpose is direct and short depending on whether you have just one purpose or several purposes. It is normally stated separately (that's the way I've done it).

Diane Said:

Do anybody have a complete writing lab report on two or three basic house chemical, so that I can take?

We Answered:

Here's one place to look:

In the dictionary, under the word "plagiarism".

While there, also have a look at "cheat", "fraud", "dishonest". Don't bother with "college", you won't be needing that one.

Connie Said:

How do you avoid personal pronouns when writing a lab report?

We Answered:

Treat everything as a fact, instead of as your own experience.

"In this experiment, I combined Magnesium with Oxide..." -> "In the experiment, magnesium was combined with oxide..."

"My hypothesis states that..." -> "From this experiment, the hypothesis that ________ can be concluded."

"I added water to the solution." -> "Water was added to the solution."

Lena Said:

Writing a lab report without a hypothesis?

We Answered:

An hypothesis is is a supposition put forward in explanation of observed facts.

Therefore, since you have made some observations, presumably you obtained some results; these are the facts relating to your experiment.

If no macromolecule changed, then your hypothesis would be that they all remained constant.

If one or more did change, then your hypothesis would be that one or more did change and you would provide the evidence.
