Linda Said:

How to write a report, formal letter and a formal letter?

We Answered:

use mls format if it's supposed to be a formal paper. eg: for an english teacher or class. the 1st paragraph is the "introduction" and tells what your paper is going to be about. the 2nd paragraph is the "body" and gives the main idea. the 3rd paragraph is the "conclusion" and you wrap up the things you said in paragraphs 1 and 2. google mls format if you don't know the do's and dont's. i find that when writing papers/reports, etc... the teacher or boss usually just wants you to b.s. some. that's all! don't be afraid to write, it's not hard once you overcome any fears you have.

This refers to the purpose, subject and limits of the report. If the report is required to make recommendations, they will be stated here. The terms of reference are usually just one or two sentences long.

How to write a formal report?

We Answered:

Easy.

Write an Introduction. This should be about 5-10 sentences describing what the report is all about. Use the bullet points you've listed as separate sections in the paper. Then, wrap up with a Conclusion/Summary, about 2/3 as long as your Introduction. Be sure to include references.
