The act of incorporating is essentially the creation of an artificial person who will live on forever or until intentionally "destroyed". The idea is that any real persons can mange the affairs of the corporation, and the management can pass from one person to another at any time, subject to state laws. One benefit of all this is that the shareholders/managers have a measure of protection from personal liability.

To answer your question directly, each corporation must have unique characteristics, which includes the name. Since Jiffy Lube and Valvoline are names of corporations (or at least trademarks or service marks), you cannot use them without permission. Many corporations, from Jiffy Lube to McDonalds, sell franchises which include help with the business and the right to use their name.

There is no good reason. You should at least get your GED if you want to go to college at some point. Many schools that specialize in the arts aren't all about grades, but more about talent and passion.

Also, if you plan on being a film director, you're going to have to start small and work your way up to that position. You're not going to direct some cheesy, extremely low budgeted film (no offense to you or your work) and suddenly be the next big thing. It just doesn't work that way. So, you're definitely going to have a few a** hole bosses yelling at you all day.
