Tips on writing a good book report? We Answered:
Think about what you want to tell about the book, and make an outline you can fill in with answers as you go. Also, note down key plot lines and twists, as they can be used to compare and contrast with something in your report.Corey Said:
Need some advice on some report writing layout tips?We Answered:
The best advice in writing a report with numbered paragraphs, tables, figures etc is to use the feature of Word called "Styles". Do not number or format the sections or labels manually. Search for tutorials or buy a book on Word.Regarding labels, all items of a specific type should be numbered according to their own sequence. So all Figures should be labelled consecutively Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3 etc, regardless of where they are in the document.
Use "insert label" to create labels, and they will be formatted and numbered correctly by Word (smaller and bold as you say). When referencing the label in the text, use "insert reference", and it will be formatted correctly by Word (normal text, not small and bold). If you do it this way, the number in the reference will automatically be updated if the figure is renumbered.
I cannot stress enough - Word has the built in functionality to handle all of this, and more. Or if you prefer not to use Word, the free alternative Open Office has exactly the same functionality.

Try breaking the paragraphs down into time periods, or periods of his life. Childhood, teenage years, early adulthood, . . . like that. Or by decades. Sorry! I'm not really knowledgable about his life, so I don't have much to go by. Or you could write about him in terms of his relatives. His parents, his siblings, and so on.Billie Said:

3. Start by stating the purpose of your report

Tips for Report Writing?We Answered:
Here's a very basic, yet complete, outline:Introduction - this is what my report is about, why I chose the subject, why it is important
Point 1 - a good paragraph about it
Point 2 - a good paragraph about point 2
Point 3 - same
Conclusion - summarize the 3 points briefly, make reference back to your thesis (which should be in your intro) and wrap it up.
Good luck!
Try to use a transition statement at the end of your points. For example, in your paragraph (or two) about point one, end it with a sentence that somewhat introduce point two. Then when you begin writing about point two, you build on that statement.

Could you give me some good tips on writing a good chapter report? We Answered:
You will find in college that there are many different styles to writing different types of reports. First, you pick a format. Then stick to that format. ( Example: for nursing school we used the APA format or American Psychological Association (APA) style)It is important to first, just write the report. An initial rough draft does not have to be fancy. Then clean it up and make it fit into your 'format'.
Here are some websites that should help make sense of writing reports:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/APA_format
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MLA_style
These are the two most commonly used formats.
