It really depends on what your own style of writing is like as to whether or not it's okay. If your own style is overly colloquial, then it wouldn't be okay to use it to write with...you must still stick to a formal style, even if you don't use a cold and detached tone. There is a middle ground, where you can still use the formal style template but inject some of your own personality into the reports, and that is okay to do. Just try and keep it formal, as otherwise you could lose marks. Talk to your teachers about what they consider acceptable, because each teacher will have a different idea about what they consider to be okay. But, to summarize, yes, generally, as long as you keep the documentations formal and they adhere to their purpose, then it's okay to incorporate some of your own style into them.

First you need to establish what you believe the main conflict was. Although it might not be right, using things from the story that helps justify your idea will help you at least earn a decent grade. After that, I would work around it and tie in the protagonist and antagonist: what they contributed to the main conflict, their actions, and so forth. I haven't wrote a paper in a little while and I haven't read this piece, so with little background I can really just tell you how I would approach it at first.
