Forget form letters. Most of what you find will be chock full of bad infor and do more harm than good.I'm not sure I understand what the $150 is suppose to be. You say you paid off the debt to the bank. So how do you still owe $150?
Send the collection agency a certified, return receipt letter. Tell them that you do not owe the money. Ask them to provide copies of contracts or other documents that prove you owe the debt. Use your own words. Be clear and concise. Don't try to use "legal"sounding language.
They have to prove you owe. Be sure to keep all the records of your payments to the bank, if that's part of the money the travel agency got.
