What to write in a 2-minute radio live report of a demonstration about the school education ?We Answered:
Students took to their First Amendment today to show the school and the faculty that the education offered in the school district today is important and must meet the criteria necessary to succeed in tomorrow's future.Cassandra Said:
Can someone please tell me about education in zimbabwe? We Answered:
The Zimbabwe Teachers' Association (ZIMTA) has warned that that education system is on the verge of collapse because of a critical shortage of teachers, teaching and learning materials, poor remuneration and low morale. In ZIMTA's president, Tendai Chikowore, said in a circular number dated September 20 that public examinations scheduled to start in October, and end in November could be disrupted as teachers continue to leave the country or simply stay away from their schools."Government has under-funded and under-resourced the education system, leading to demotivation and a brain-drain”, said Chikowore. She also criticised the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe's move to allow designated dealers to sell their products in foreign currency, saying teachers would be unable to buy from the outlets because they are paid in local currency. Teachers earn between $15 000 and $250 000 per month and are some of the lowest paid professionals in the country.

Zimbabwe has an adult literacy rate of approximately 90%[1] which is amongst the highest in Africa. However, since 1995 the adult literacy rate of Zimbabwe has steadily decreased which is a trend shared by other African countries.
The majority of the wealthier portion of the population send their children to independent schools as opposed to the government-run schools which are attended by the poorer members of the black population as these have lower fee scales. School education was made free in 1980, but since 1988, the government has steadily increased the charges attached to school enrollment until they now greatly exceed the real value of fees in 1980. The Ministry of Education of Zimbabwe, Sport and Culture maintains and operates the government schools but the fees charged by independent schools are regulated by the Cabinet of Zimbabwe. School grades
Zimbabwe's education system consists of 7 years of primary and 4 years of secondary schooling and 2 years of high school before students can enter university in country or abroad. The academic year in Zimbabwe runs from January to December, with three month terms, broken up by one month holidays, with a total of 40 weeks of school per year. National examinations are written during the third term in November, with "O" level and "A" level subjects also offered in June. These are administered by the Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council.
[edit] Extracurricular activities
A major characteristic of Zimbabwean schools is the high priority given to sports, clubs and activities by the community, the parents, the schools and the students themselves. Extracurricular activities are educational activities not falling within the scope of the regular curriculum but under the supervision of the school. These activities can extend to large amounts of time outside the normal school day; home-schooled students, however, are not normally allowed to participate. Student participation in sports programs, drill teams, bands, and spirit groups can amount to hours of practices and performances.
[edit] Normal Ages
Primary school (Grade 1) starts from age six: children applying for Grade 1 intake are supposed to be turning six before August of the previous year. Secondary school intake (Form 1) is on the basis of successful completion of Grade 7. Thus most children starting Form 1 are in the year when they turn 13 years old.

If your child gets suspended from school do you recieve a written report? We Answered:
It depends on the school. There is no law requiring the school to send you notification in writing explaining the circumstances. However, they are required to tell the primary caregiver of the suspension and to release the child to that caregiver. For future reference: if you are concerned with "what is being reported" ask to see your childs' discplinary records. You are entitled to that and there will be written documentation in that file. Thats is also the file that will be sent to your child's future college. Also, if the circumstances really are unjust, ask for an appeal on the suspension.

When writing a paper or report about education - is the word "Bacherlors or Master's Degree" capitalized? We Answered:
Yes, for example:I have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and a Master's degree in Business Administration. As you'd write that in shorthand as MBA, the Master and Bachelor are both capitalized.
Kurt Said:
Sex education at home or school? I am writing a report and need your opinion.?We Answered:
Here is your counter-argument:Not all parents take the time to discuss sex with their kids. It is better to get information from a non-family member than none at all.
Also, I have heard parents (mainly men) encourage their sons to "go for it. " Some-times, advice from parents is not the best.
While we all wish our daughters/sons would remain virgins until they marry, reality and wishes can collide. A parent who relies on the "Abstinence Choice " may not provide much info for alternative choices / consequences their child might choose/face. And let's face it, our children do not always follow the parameters we choose.
School instructors are not so personally involved that they force their hopes on the kids. Children may feel more free to ask questions of people who are unlikely to judge them, than some parents who are likely to jump to conclusions.
