I think as far as the question desperate or a matter of finding someone, it depends on the person.
I met my husband on the internet and I never in my dreams thought I would go on the net to find my husband. It took a few years, but I did it and I am glad.
I remember going on several dates that were not internet related and never had luck. People said that I should try internet sites for singles. I had a feeling about it and decided to do it knowing that there has been a lot of success
I personally found that it's a better way to get to know someone, you know someone for who they are and not what they are.

I always had feelings if someone was okay or not okay. My feelings always turned out right. I always arranged to meet someone in a safe place where there were a lot of people.

My husband and are were 3000 miles away from each other, but we are happy together and he is a wonderful man.

Again I just had a feeling about him. It was a different feeling than I had in the past , it wasn't a feeling like"I hope that it works, I really want this person" It was a feeling like "I know I am going to end up with this person"
