Hi, I've just completed a Masters in psychology. It's a long time since I did undergrad. psychology but I think you need to target your study more. At the moment from what you've written you've given yourself carte-blanche to write anything. I mean how does one determine the relevance or value of one view from another if your criteria for inclusion are so wide ranging? Why are you studying this topic, is there somthing that particularly interests you in it? I wouold forget the cross-cultural angle and concentrate on something smaller scale. My advice would be a qualitative study based on in depth interviews with 3 or 4 people from a particular population that you are interested in - using IPA techniques. I might be out of touch but newspaper artticles and You tube videas are not evidence. This is a BSc . remember.

If a researcher starts with an assumption, they will perhaps find the evidence to prove it. Also, are they using the same set of data in their analysis? Who is paying for the studies? the same company or grant for both, or different ones? I am sure there are other reasons. There is also the chance that you did not completely understand the reports?
