Procedure Of Report Writing
Freddie Said:
Help with writing a report for CourseWork B in Junior Cert Science!!?We Answered:
For the planning you must include details on the theory behind what you are investigating e.g. how increase in temperature increases kinetic energy and how that increases the collisions between enzyme active site and substrate. Then you can use the theory to predict your prediction, and that could go in your introduction + analysis. The planning will be saying how you intend to implement your experiment (preferably saying why you are doing so by linking to a preliminary experiment and linking with the theory) and stating the controlled variables and the constants in your experiment. The procedure you would have to find a detailed, easy to follow by a another student guide onto how to carry out your experiment. The safety is pretty simple, just include what safety precautions you must take eg. take care when handling glass, pipettes, water baths etc. Include the formula/ the type of calculations you need to do to measure the rate of reaction between starch and amylase, eg. If your experiment measured the time taken for a solution of starch to change colour due to iodide after reaction with amylase you would divide the concentration by that time etc.If you get bad results it's a good thing to talk about in the evaluation and it you can suggest ways to improve your experiment for next time.
The comments it's pretty much the same as evaluation.

Writing a lab report?We Answered:
I had the same assignment. I did almost the same thing. You should NOT copy and paste ever! Just write it our in your lab book, or type it. but dont copy word for word. There shouldn't be a problem. It sounds like your first lab, I'm sure it's fine.
