Does this happen with all sims you try to question or just one in particular? If it's just one then maybe it's best to just leave them and try someone else.
Make sure your sim has a really good relationship with the person you want to question - and when rummaging though people's trash, be sure to wait for the message telling you what they found out about the person before you stop them. Other than that, I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work. That's a really strange problem if it's happening all the time.

Part of the paperwork you fill out while completing you application is a release form allowing them to check into your credit. So there is no violation there. Why do you assume the police do it illegally?

Choosing not to hire you based on a bad credit report is not being prejudice. Law enforcement can be a very tempting field to pad your own pockets. It is not the norm, but you do hear about it all the time. In fact it is what most cop haters complain about the most. If you have chronic financial problems you are at even more of a risk.

So if the background check reveals that you use to have a drug problem and the police department does not hire you, are they also being prejudice? I mean just because you had a problem in the past does not mean you will do it again right?

As far as a new law being past, I have never heard of it. Like I said, they will give you a release form to fill out so they can check your credit. It is all part of the background investigation. If you do not fill it out and give the release, then it will send up all sorts of red lags for them.

My department will have you fix your credit (Payoff any outstanding debts) before they will hire you if your credit report is not in good standing. So just because you may have a not so perfect score does not mean your out of the game.

perhaps they need to increase their logic skill? i never had that problem, so keep trying to question people until it works


oh and are you sure the questioning was successful? because sometimes it looks like they questioned them but they didn't

Policing, as we now know it, began in 1839 when the Home Secretary, Robert Peel in the UK, created the Police Service. He had tried such a scheme a few years earlier in Dublin which was then under British rule. There had been a Thames River Police before that due to piracy and stealing from ships in the docks and on the river. Before this, we had the 'Watch' system where a person would be selected in villages and towns to be the Constable. It worked for a while until it was allowed to buy someone to do your turn so generally speaking the same man did it year after year, becoming useless at his job. Before that again, the Romans brought a legal system to the UK which was the norm for hundreds of years....................
