Navdeep, assuming that money involved is a sizeable one, you can go for purchasing furniture for the school/college, wherever necessary, go for buying library books, go for installing water coolers in each floor of the school/college, go for developing the auditorium to fit with sound system, LCD, OHP etc. etc. When you consider one usage from the above list, take a survey with the Staff first so that you will get an idea whether your choice is good, purposeful or not. Then take the survey to the students who will be the end users.
When the survey is over, give a good topic and write the report summarizing the purpose, usage, beneficiaries, etc. and submit it to the principal

Car sales. One of my favorite "battles" with my fellow man. Those guys at the dealership are human beings now. Look at this with love. It will help you:

a) A customer who has progressed from an "up" to the close with the finance officer is unhappy with the time and paperwork required by law and by management. How do you keep your customer satisfaction index (CSI) from falling because of this process?

b) We want to move cars and keep our customers happy

c) Have the salesman guage the customer's willingness to purchase up-sells like insurance, security devices and maintenance contracts. Always have the salesman "prep" the customer so the finance director won't hit them cold with these offers. When the salesman is stepping down the customer to a reasonable price, consider whether profit margin or satisfied customer is more important. If the customer exhibits even a minute dissatisfaction with time and paperwork, immediately lower the sales price by $100 and apologize for the wait required by state and corporate authorities. Buy them dinner, order a pizza, show them you care about their time as well as their money. Give them a coupon for two oil changes, not one. You are creating a legacy, not processing a customer. It is assumed that satisfaction is important, so don't be afraid to lowball a deal during the close, even though it may rub the salesman the wrong way when he realizes his commission will be lower. Remember, the dealership will make money selling the car even at cost because volume counts toward the manufacturer bonuses. It may not make as much on the sale, and the salesman's commission may be smaller, but the question involves customer satisfaction, not high profits. You cannot have both most of the time. Volume will drive sales and improve your status with the manufacturer. this eventually will lead to sweet profits, but it takes a period of baseline, hard work. There will always be customers who will be happy getting a car at near-sticker price. So don't be afraid to not make this huge profit on every customer or even most of them. Word-of-mouth is the best word there is. No written ad or TV image will ever get you as many customers as simple word-of-mouth.
