does any one know how to start an introduction on a science report? We Answered:
Begin with a broad statement introducing your reader to the overall topic of nitrogen: what it is, its prevalence in the atmosphere, the purpose it provides...stuff like that. Gradually narrow the topic from nitrogen in general to your particular focus, perhaps what interested you in it and why you chose it as the topic of your project. Also, I'd be interested in hearing why you refer to it as "poor man's nitrogen", for example, so think about including that.Joyce Said:
8th Grade science fair project... I need help on writing a 2-3 page report, due tomorrow? We Answered:
Here is a formula that saved my but in many cases of hurried reports.1. Format- skip lines after each paragraph and make sure you set format paragraph to double line spacing. Times New Roman Font with 12pt. size. This will expand the size of your report just make sure it doesn't expand it too much.
2. Describe the experiment you did such as what you just wrote in asking the question and remember to list the materials you used.
3. Since you are doing an experiment, use MIcrosoft office excel to do charts and tables. I don't know your experience with it so ask your mom to help you. Insert the charts and tables into your report through copy and paste. That will take up room. However your teacher won't be impressed unless you explain the chart and table such as comparing the average temperatures for each jar.
4. Remember to explain what you saw and learned such as which one had the highest average temperature meaning that one absorbed the most light. Hint: Look up on wikipedia.org the light spectrum, reflection of light, and colors. The color you see is what part of light it reflects. Light is made of colors of the rainbow and is naturally white. So if you see white, that reflects all the light. So more light absorbed, the more heat. Think I can't give you the answer.
5. If you used an encyclopedia or any other book, create a bibliography at easybib.com. Trust me they will love it.
These are the four points to a hurried report.
