I work as mystery shopper myself and I feel this is scam. Have you applied to become a mystery shopper or did they send you an email with the offer themselves? Do they have a website? If you do mystery shopping and are supposed to purchase something, you have to use your money and you will be reimbursed and paid afterwards, after you send the filled report. Also it is not you who chooses the location where to do mystery shopping, the company (eg Wal-Mart) asks for certain amount of mystery shoppers in particular branch to evaluate their services,so they can improve. It would not make much sense if you could choose yourself as it could happen you would be the only shopper in the particular branch and therefore the result would not be much usable. or they might have already had their services evaluated by other mystery shoppers,
Anyway, this is obvious scam and you could loose in the end.Don't go for it!!!

The heart of the matter is this:
she is the one being pushy, she's the one being controlling - both rude behaviors
anything you do to defend yourself against her rude behaviors is going to upset her
but you have to do what you have to do in order to protect your child and preserve your place as the decision maker in her life.
