Naomi Said:

What is the attitude of the newspaper reporter towards the peace settlement and the League of Nations?

We Answered:

Politics is dirty ; and war are made by country

Vickie Said:

Yalta and Potsdam conference help?

We Answered:

You could speculate as to whether they are going to tell you about the bomb. Stalin knew Truman had it but it was never discussed. Britian became socialist - maybe this is something the Commies would welcome as a step in the right direction.

Let's not forget the USSR were intent on protecting themselves from an attack from the west - the concept if not the actual idea of the Warsaw pact (which came into being 10 years later) must have been uppermost in their minds - certainly the idea of what Churchill would call the Iron Curtain was already formenting - but not a term they would have used.

You need to sort out the key points from each conference and thn put the approriate slant on each.

Kelly Said:

synonyms to say that someone gave a paper during a conference?

We Answered:

You can say they "introduced" a topic, "expressed their opinion" or (to use a big word) they "enlightened the audience".

Hope some of those help!

Samuel Said:

write two reports on the yalta conference: 1) as a British reporter 2) as a Russian reporter?

We Answered:

1. read some text about Yalta. for example
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yalta_Confe… and note the key players

2. Put yourself in the shoes of the victorious but not so keen on communism British and write a terse report about how brilliantly Churchill did and play down what any of the other key players did or said

3. Put yourself in the shoes of a Russian reporter and write a flowery report extolling the virtues and glorious future of the party and its brilliant leader. Play down or ridicule the other key players.
Search for Russian propaganda to get some examples of the language:
