Is there a better business bureau I can report my bank to?

We Answered:

Banks are big business and it'd be hard to beat them. Why not collect all your bank statements and make an appointment to sort it out with the bank manager? Once you've proved that it's their mistake, they should reverse their charges.

The match between code and display value with reporting tool?

We Answered:

Hi.
RAQ Report is an Excel-like reporting tool. For the convenience of all the users, RAQ Report provides an overall solution to this problem.
1. Cells have two attributes, value and display value, and their expressions can be defined flexibly.
2. There are several easy and flexible edit styles, such as dropdown list, dropdown view, dropdown dataset, dynamic filter, etc, and they are enough to satisfy the requirements of different business systems.
For more details and graphic illustration, you can refer to my blog at http://freezea.blogspot.com/.
Good luck.

What do I need to do to become a Business Intelligence Specialist? What skils are essential to have?

We Answered:

Hello, Ivan! (I got your email)

First, I would recommend you investigate the specific requirements (job descriptions) for potential positions with specific companies, as each company likely has their own idea as to what they are seeking in a Business Intelligence Specialist candidate, then focus your efforts on those stated skills.

Generally, you can't go wrong with the following;

effective communications
research
analysis
understanding of financial reports
SQL (structured query language/database)
Excel (spreadsheets)
methodical approach to problem solving
detail-oriented

Specifically, my current position as Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst for a small corporation providing support for the top 100 US Department of Defense contractors engaging in the competitive procurement process (primarily national intelligence, homeland security) requires me to;

understand government contract vehicle requirements
interpret Securities & Exchange Commission annual report filings
glean information from corporate annual reports to stockholders
extract data from federal contracts databases
monitor corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
prepare reports, graphs and summaries detailing findings

My job does not require a degree (however, I was fortunate enough to have worked for my boss (the owner of the company) for several years in the past, so he already knew of my abilities)

Hope this helps!
