In a business letter, how should I format the identification initials if the letter is signed by 3 persons?We Answered:
The ID initials indicate who dictated (not who signs) and then prepared the correspondence. i.e. if Tami Smith dictated it and Jane Doe typed it the initials would be: TS/jdIf all 3 signers dictated it (which is doubtful) I would put: TS/BD/RF/jd.
If Jane Doe dictated and prepared the letter it would simply be: /jd
Signers don't matter. Dictators and preparers only.
