Lori Said:

need help writing a resignation letter when my contract finishes yesterday but haven't find another job yet...?

We Answered:

Don't understand why you have to hand in a resignation letter. Your contract has expired surely that speaks for itself. Perhaps it is red tape. Just say my contract has expired I will no longer be working for you. If you liked the company you could say I enjoyed my experience with you and if any other contracts come up I would like to be considered. Yours faithfully.......

Jason Said:

can anyone give me tips for writing a good resignation letter?

We Answered:

Good thinking. I quit. Looks nice but won't work. You are on the right track. Thank them for the opportunity that they gave you and for helping you learn skills that could help you in your future goals. Stay on the positive side and then remember to keep it simple and don't point blame. No more than a few paragraphs. Be honest in your letter, from your heart. OF course if they were bad employers then this won't matter to anyone but you.

How do I write a resignation letter?

We Answered:

Dear ________ (bosses name)

Thank you for the opportunity you gave me to work for you. I have enjoyed working with you and all of the staff here at Sears. I appreciate you all so much.

However, I regret that at this time I must give you my resignation because of a family difficulty/emergency. _____________ will be the last day I can work.

Thank you once again for your understanding.

P.S. If you are going to work for your sister, get her to write up a recommendation letter thanking you for making such a sacrifice to come work for her.

Discuss It!
