Writing Letters For Kids
Leslie Said:
Santa Claus Letters and Christmas? We Answered:
I know in some instances, employees or volunteers at the post office read the letters and sometimes people can go in and retrieve some letters and buy things for kids who are less fortunate. I'm not sure how they distinguish who is less fortunate, but I do know of a post office that was doing this one year.Did you also know that there is a Santa Claus, Indiana. Many letters end up here too. They even have a special program in that town where they will send your child a letter back postmarked "Santa Claus."
I also think it is great that your child is so generous with her belongings. I try to remind my child also that he is very lucky when he receives a gift from someone. And as he gets older, he is 3 now, I plan on making sure he is aware that there are children who get nothing for Christmas because their families can't afford it.
Sounds like you have done a wonderful job with your child. You should be proud of her and yourself! :)

my family and I would like to help a needy oklahoma family for x-mas though letters kids have wrote to santa .We Answered:
Your family has the right idea, but the wrong game plan. You cannot tell from a letter, if a family is needy. You can go to your local Dept of Human Services or Salvation Army and tell them you would like to sponsor a family for Christmas and they can tell you what the family needs. They know of many families who need help.
And it is great to want to give it in person, but to a point, that is selfish. What is the purpose in meeting them, to get thanks from them? To feel good about giving? That isn't what giving is about. Just leave it on their porch and be happy with the knowledge you helped someone. Giving isn't about your gratification.

writing emails to step kids/ or should i write paper letters? We Answered:
Are they your kids or step kids? Either way I think it is great that you write them letters. I think the emails are the best way to go because you don't know if she would give them the paper ones or not.Don't give her more money. That is dumb.
