We Answered:

Yes, you should.

Enrique Said:

Does anyone have samples of fundraising donation letters?

We Answered:

I found this site on the internet. It should be a terrific site to help you get started. If it helps let me know so I can get credit for helping if not, not to worry.

Claire Said:

how to I make the sentence more smooth and concise?

We Answered:

However, today's tough economic conditions make it difficult for Buckeye Bread Basket to meet those needs without help from people like you. We will have our holiday fundraising sale to raise the money, where we plan to sell holiday greeting cards that will depict an original watercolor scene created by a famous Ohio artist and they will come in boxes of ten.

Help Writing letters to Newspapers & Radio Stations About Fundraising?

We Answered:

It would be a good idea to contact local radio stations and newspapers, and if you have sponsorship from a well known local business already then they might take more notice of you.
I would first telephone the papers and radio stations in the first instance and outline what you want to do. They will ask you to write in, but at least you can ask for the right person's name to address the letter to, then you know it will arrive on the right desk. You can then also refer to the telephone conversation that you had which is a less awkward way to start off a letter.
Do you have an outline of the project that you want to support? If it's really well and simply laid out, then your letter can be very brief as the project itself will stimulate the interest. Good luck.

Help with fundraising letter?

We Answered:

Items to include in your fundraising letter:

-who you are (group, organization, etc.)
-reason for fundraiser (why you are raising funds)
-what the money is for (basically the same as above)

Be direct and complete when writing your letter. Be specific about times, dates, etc. Offer to bring all of your own supplies (tables, signage, etc.)

In the letter, briefly explain who you and your reason for raising funds. Ask for permission next, and don't forget to thank them for their help. Put your name and contact information in the letter as well so that they can find you.

Good luck!
